Purple Iris Pair

The first of four Iris paintings that were prompted by an image of my son’s next door neighbor’s garden in Tubingen Germany. My daughter-in-law Lena took a picture and sent it to us in anticipation of our visit for our granddaughter’s birthday, and because of the color and shape of the irises I began a series, including this smaller oil.
