Anemone Frenzy

“Anemone Frenzy” is one of my favorite Oil & Enamel paintings because of the feeling I have that I could just get delightfully tangled up in all of that activity and color. I hope you can see the freedom of dripping various streaks of color for the stems and grasses, combined with “punching in” some objects that look like they could be anemones. This combination of dripping color with paint sticks, and punching in color with a palette knife, is my example of what I have come to term “Abstract Impressionism” in my evolving painting style.
